The DR-Z 125 is a dirt bike manufactured by Suzuki, part of the Suzuki DR-Z Series. It is intended for off-road trail use. It is light-weight (174 lb or 79 kg) and relatively powerful, making it well-suited for trick riding. With a top speed of about 50 mph (80 km/h), it is a good choice for a starting rider.
The main competition of the Suzuki DR-Z 125 is a Yamaha TT-R 125. Where the Yamaha has more speed, the DR-Z has the handling to make up for it. With less speed, the DR-Z has more power. The powerplant is tuned for strong low-to-mid rpm power by carefully selecting the lengths of the intake system and exhaust pipe.
